Bruno Hörmann

I am a freelance machine learning and AI engineer based in Munich, with five years of experience building machine learning systems and running them in production.

I studied mechanical engineering and mechatronics at the Technical University of Munich, and most of my work is about applying machine learning to engineering problems, for example in manufacturing, robotics, energy systems and engineering design. In recent years that has mainly meant systems built on large language models and agents.

In most projects I am the technical lead and responsible for the technical side from the first idea to a system people use every day: scoping, architecture, evaluation and deployment.

I prefer longer engagements with small teams and work remotely, in German and English.
